formed in 1989 by Nigel Mills and Jason Timmins who
saw a need to provide local businesses within the
West Midlands area with professional computer
support and associated services. And we’ve continued

The
Core Team
Nigel Mills – Managing Director
With over 30 years in the IT industry,
I’ve experienced first hand the changes in the
sector. When we started MBM, we had a vision to
provide quality and friendly support to businesses -
and that hasn’t changed.
I started my IT
career as a computer operator, and worked as a
programmer for engineering and manufacturing
companies before setting up MBM in 1989 and we moved
to our current offices in Wombourne in 1991. I was
one of the original members of the UK IT Association
(UKITA) and a founding member of the Black Country
Chamber of Commerce and I continue to be actively
involved in both.
Jason Timmins – Technical
DirectorAfter gaining a BSc
(Hons) in Computer Science at the University of
Liverpool I joined MBM full-time. I spend most of my
time providing second-line support, writing
databases and implementing new services. Obviously,
we work with Windows-based computers a great deal of
the time but we also make extensive use of Linux to
deliver our Inter
Linx range of
gateway/firewall servers and Voice-over-IP telephony
solutions.
I'm also responsible for our
virtualisation and Internet hosting infrastructure
which runs from our Manchester data centre. It's an
extremely powerful and flexible platform that allows
us to supply all kinds of innovative services to our
customers.
Away from the office I love music
and movies, I'm a keen ballroom dancer, amateur
astronomer and keyboard player.
